New AOG fees approved by Public Service Commission
The Arkansas Public Service Commission formally approved Tuesday (Jan. 13) a new fee structure for certain services provided by Fort Smith-based Arkansas Oklahoma Gas Corp.
On Oct. 22, AOG proposed a few increases and other changes to the pricing and policy structure. The staff of the Arkansas Public Service Commission on Nov. 17 recommended a few “revisions” to the AOG filing.
Details of the new fee structure approved by the PSC are:
Connection fee:
no adjustment; current fee is $25, with actual cost of service listed as $32.97
Connection fee-after hours:
new fee, $50; previous fee was $35, with actual cost of service listed as $55.96
Reconnection:
new fee, $30; previous fee was $25, with actual cost of service listed as $57.97
Reconnection-after hours:
new fee, $50; previous fee was $35, with actual cost of service listed as $80.96
Also, AOG reported in late October that its winter cost for natural gas would be about 75.5 cents per CCF (hundred cubic feet), down from the 79.64 cents per CCF in the previous winter cycle. Customers using 100 ccf per month can expect a bill of about $119. In the previous winter, the bill would have been about $123.
AOG provides natural gas to about 62,000 in western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma.
