Bills filed Tuesday (Jan. 13) in the 87th General Assembly include the following:
HB 1097
An act concerning places where a person is prohibited from carrying a concealed handgun
SB 55
An act to increase salary transparency for administrators in state-supported institutions of higher education
HB 1093
An act that would require the state to become more involved in enforcing immigration laws; e.g., would authorize state agencies to issue identification documents and require state agencies to participate in a status verification system.
These proposed bills were among 16 posted on the Arkansas Legislature Web site as of 5 p.m. There were no bills filed by legislators representing portions of the Fort Smith region.
