• The ever-so-casual Winter Scholarship Social for the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas, will take place 5-7 p.m. Feb. 2 at Mermaids in Fayetteville, thanks to presenters Clay and Heather Maxey. Just $10 at the door is enough for complimentary beer and wine, plus live music. More information on the fund’s scholarship program at the Single Parent website.
• The Bentonville/Bella Vista’s Chamber of Commerce’s annual banquet/dinner will begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 2 at the John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Rogers.
