Shoes made for walking — and healing

The Ozark Guidance Auxiliary — along with former Sam’s Club CEO Brian Cornell and his wife, Martha —  are hosting “Walk a Mile in My Shoes,” a ballpark-sized sale of new and gently worn shoes and handbags from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m., Jan. 28 (or until quantities last) at Arvest Ballpark.

This year’s event boasts some 1,500 items, all for sale at $10 each. The event focuses awareness on mental health and brings to light how many people are affected each year. Proceeds from the sale will help children and families that can’t afford mental health services.

Gates at the ballpark open promptly at 8 a.m. No Black Friday behavior allowed. Visit the Ozark Guidance website for more info.
