As part of the Fort Smith Museum of History’s Veteran’s Day Exhibit, select artifacts from the Bonneville Collection may be viewed through February 10, 2012. Personal journals and military appointments of the famous General recently received conservation treatment funded in part by the Arkansas Humanities Council. The artifacts are now available for short-term exhibition with digital reproductions available for research purposes. View a personal journal containing a letter from the Marquis de Lafayette, a friend of the Bonneville Family as well as military appointments, which trace the career of General Bonneville. The Fort Smith Museum of History is proud to announce the completion of the conservation work on the historically significant documents.
