Derrell Hartwick hired as new North Little Rock Chamber CEO
Derrell Hartwick has been hired as the new president & CEO of the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce effective November 1, 2021.
Hartwick was previously the president & CEO of the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber of Commerce in Idaho. Prior to that position, Hartwick held various positions at the Little Rock Regional Chamber.
He replaces President & CEO John Owens, who announced this summer he will retire at the end of 2021.
More than 100 applicants applied for the president & CEO position from all over the U.S. Hartwick is the son of North Little Rock Mayor Terry Hartwick.
“Derrell Hartwick was chosen for his enthusiasm, knowledge of the Chamber of Commerce industry and ties to North Little Rock,” said Chairman Bobby Gosser. “We had a number of very high-quality candidates that applied for the position, but rarely do you find someone that has the credentials and ties to our community that Hartwick has.”
The North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce mission is to serve members by implementing programs and services that stimulate economic, community and workforce development in North Little Rock, according to a news release. It has more than 1,200 members and is the fourth largest chamber in Arkansas.
