Sen. Elliott releases second TV spot in CD2 race: ‘Class, we’re going to Congress’
Second District Democratic Congressional nominee Sen. Joyce Elliott of Little Rock released her second TV ad of the campaign on Thursday (Aug. 27).
Elliott, a former school teacher, capitalizes on her 30-year career in education in the spot and doesn’t mention her general election opponent, incumbent GOP Cong. French Hill.
“Over 30 years teaching in public schools, I was proud to help students of all backgrounds succeed. They introduced me to their families and taught me so much about Arkansans from all walks of life,” Elliot says in the 30-second ad.
“My students inspired me to spearhead what became a first-in-the-nation Pre-K program, fight for teacher pay, and bring investments to our public schools. In Congress, I will take what I learned in the classroom so education can be a national priority too,” she says.
At the close of the spot, Elliott adds, “Class, we’re going to Congress.”
The TV ad will air on broadcast and cable throughout the district and is supported by a digital media buy.
