Randall Pope to speak at Entrepreneurship & Innovation Speaker Series
Randall Pope, retired director and senior advisor of The Westchester Group, an asset and investment management company headquartered in Champaign, Ill., will be the speaker Thursday (March 7) at the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Speaker Series, a dually-hosted event sponsored by the Arkansas State University College of Agriculture and the Neil Griffin College of Business.
Pope’s lecture, “Where Ag is Going: Emerging Trends and Future Opportunities,” is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. in room 203 of the Agriculture Building. A reception will follow.
Raised on his family farm near Bono, Pope earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business and economics from ASU in 1975 and a master’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Arkansas in 1978. Prior to joining Westchester in 1995, Pope spent 18 years with the Prudential Insurance Co. of America and in 1994 became the managing director and senior portfolio manager for all of The Prudential’s real estate and debt and equity investments.
