Fort Smith construction firm sets plan for succession
Beshears Construction Inc., a general construction company in Fort Smith, will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2019 with a change in leadership structure.
Company founder Eddy Beshears, 66, handed over the role of president and chief operating officer to his son, executive vice president Travis Beshears, effective Jan. 1. While reducing his day-to-day involvement in the company, Eddy Beshears will remain CEO.
The company also announced Joshua Real has been promoted to vice president of project management and Kelly Wilson has been promoted to vice president of business development.
Eddy Beshears and his wife, Kathy, and Steve Ware, who is vice president and head of field operations, started the company in May 1984. The company averages between 40 and 50 employees and has an additional office in Sallisaw, Okla.
