The study of leadership has long been an interest of Tabitha McFadden’s. It’s now a primary focus at RevUnit, a digital product development agency that designs, develops and launches business development strategies.
The firm launched in 2012 and now has about 75 employees and offices in Bentonville and Las Vegas.
McFadden oversees individual development plans for each employee. Her next project will be launching a company-wide leadership development program, with a goal of giving employees the skills to empower each other and become leaders within the organization.
“Because our growth is so rapid, we need to make sure we have that in place so that we can handle what’s to come,” she said.
An Oklahoma native, McFadden earned two degrees from John Brown University, including a master’s degree in leadership and ethics. She was a Soderquist Fellow at Soderquist Leadership Center, conducting leadership training for large and small companies and nonprofits.
The education and training McFadden received there helped forge her path at
RevUnit, where her background in workplace culture and leadership guided her efforts to establish the company’s core set of values.
“We like to celebrate our people when they do well,” she said. “It’s a very supportive culture.”
Before RevUnit hired her five years ago as its first female employee, McFadden spent four years at Northstar Partnering Group. There she was instrumental in leading the marketing for RediClinic, a pilot program to put preventative and routine care medical clinics inside large retailers, including Walmart.
McFadden presented at the Made by Few annual design conference and spoke at last year’s Women in Technology Conference.
