Arkansas Hospital Association member hospitals partner with leading healthcare cybersecurity firm
After reassessing the repercussions of recent data breaches and cybersecurity vulnerabilities, the Arkansas Hospital Association (AHA) has partnered with Clearwater Compliance to provide services to its 101 member institutions.
Clearwater Compliance is a Tennessee-based health-care compliance and cyber risk management firm.
As part of the multiyear agreement, Clearwater Compliance has been awarded preferred provider status by AHA Services Inc. (AHASI), a wholly owned subsidiary of AHA designed to help hospitals reduce costs and increase buying power through negotiated group discounts.
“We are pleased to announce this new partnership with Clearwater Compliance,” AHASI President Tina Creel said in a statement. “We want to help our hospital member organizations adopt both short- and long-term strategic approaches for increasing safeguards on patient data. We also highly encourage developing sustainable information risk management programs critical to the delivery of value-based care.”
Clearwater works with hospitals and health systems of all sizes, and has been endorsed by the American Hospital Association.
“Arkansas is a terrific example of being at the forefront of cyber risk management,” Clearwater Compliance CEO Bob Chaput said in a statement. “In today’s fast-changing and fast-moving world of cybersecurity threats, Clearwater is honored to offer approaches for framing cybersecurity programs to AHA member hospitals. Many hospitals struggle with developing their cyber risk management programs, simply because they do not know where to start.
“We will help interested member hospitals leverage best practices and industry standards for achieving their cyber risk management and compliance risk management objectives.”
