Kim Littlejohn joins USA Truck as chief technology officer
USA Truck has named Kim Littlejohn as vice president and chief technology officer. The Van Buren-based carrier announced Littlejohn joined the leadership team Wednesday (May 24).
Jason Bates, executive vice president and chief financial officer, said Littlejohn “has an impressive track record of delivering superior results, and does so with a high degree of employee engagement. Her attention to detail, and cross-functional project prioritization experience, will greatly enhance our efforts to position USA Truck as a premier provider of transportation capacity solutions.”
Littlejohn previously worked as director of information technology for Interstate Distributor Co., in Tacoma, Wash. She’s also served as IT director for Bishop, White, Marshall & Weibel, P.S., and NYK Business Systems Americas Inc.
She started her IT career as a developer with Boeing before working for Security Pacific Bank. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington.
Littlejohn’s hiring continues a trend of recent leadership changes at USA Truck. The most recent was Bates’ hiring in April, as well as that of Cheryl Stone as senior vice president-human resources.
Other recent leadership changes include:

- May 2016: Michael Borrows resigns as CFO and executive vice president
- July 2015: Thomas Glaser named president and CEO, replacing John Simone
- April 2015: Glaser named interim chief operating officer, after Simone takes medical leave
In its most recent earnings report, USA Truck posted a first-quarter income loss of $4.89 million for the period ended March 31. That followed a full-year 2016 loss of $7.69 million.
