Morris Randall “Randy” Mizell, age 67, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on July 7, 2026.

Randy was born on January 12, 1959, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Morris Ray Mizell and Margaret Ann (Hood) Snell. He grew up in Fort Smith and attended Southside High School, where he participated in ROTC.

On March 23, 1987, Randy married Patricia Ann McCleary Mizell at the Sebastian County Courthouse. They shared many years together until Patricia’s passing.

Randy dedicated much of his life to serving others through his work. He spent 35 years with the Fort Smith School District as a custodian, including five years at Kimmons and 30 years at Cook Elementary School.

Randy enjoyed writing stories and drawing. He had a creative spirit and found joy in expressing himself through his imagination and artwork. Those who knew him will remember him as an easygoing, pleasant person who was always enjoyable to be around. He was a giving man who loved his family deeply and treasured the relationships he shared with them.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Mizell; his parents, Morris Ray Mizell and Margaret Snell; and his nephew, Mark Haaser.

He is survived by his sister, Pam Blair and husband George; his brother, Frank Mizell and wife Shelley; his sister, Stephanie Long; all of their children; and many other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Lewis Funeral Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026, officiated by Stephanie Long. Interment will follow the services at White Bluff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation at LiverFoundation.org. Services are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
