Fred Peters
Fred Peters, age 86, passed away on July 15, 2026, in the Arkansas Veterans Home in Fayetteville, AR.
Fred retired from the US Navy and Rheem Mfg Company. He was born on Christmas Day in Idabel, OK, in 1939.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lela Peters; his three brothers, Cosma, Clyde, and James Peters; and sisters-in-law, Ella Jo Peters and Sybil Peters.
He is survived by his wife, Reba; daughter, Jodie (John); son, Gary (Shannon); and 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be held the following Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Pope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary, Hudson, and Grant Peters, John Townsend, Dave Wilkinson, and Tony Corbell; and the service will be officiated by Pastor Dale Walker. Services are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
