Faye Elizabeth Chitwood Carter, who resided near Paris, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Paris. She was born on May 19, 1948, in Stigler, Oklahoma, to the late Roy Eugene Chitwood and Faye Evelyn (Driver) Chitwood. She was 77 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Joe Chitwood.
For many years, Beth worked as a cook for Forrest City Public Schools in Forrest City, Arkansas, and later retired from her position at Mercy Crest Assisted Living in Barling. She had a passion for baking, was a devoted Arkansas Razorback fan, and cherished her family above all else. Beth loved them deeply, and her warmth and kindness will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 29th at Caulksville Cemetery, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
She is survived by her children, Ronnie Randolph of Caulksville, Tracey Melton and husband Hooker of Caulksville, and Crystal Parker and husband Kelly of Paris; a brother, Don Chitwood and wife Nita of LeFlore, Oklahoma; her sister-in-law, JoAnn Chitwood of Powder Springs, Georgia; and her granddaughter, Meredith Mirus and husband Marcus of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers are Ronnie Randolph, Hooker Melton, Kelly Parker, Marcus Mirus, Don Chitwood, and Roger Goodson.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 28th at Brotherton Funeral Home in Paris.
