Summit Utilities names Richard Leger as SVP of operations

Summit Utilities announced Monday (March 30) that Richard Leger will join the company as senior vice president of operations, effective March 30, 2026. Leger will oversee key operational areas, including operations, gas supply and transportation, engineering, and operations support.

Leger brings more than 25 years of experience in the utility sector to his new role. His extensive background spans leadership positions in natural gas operations, electric operations, regulatory affairs, new business delivery, and conservation programs. Prior to joining Summit Utilities, he served as senior vice president of the natural gas business at CenterPoint Energy.

Leger earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting and marketing from McNeese State University. He is also a graduate of Leadership Greater Little Rock XXXII. Currently residing in Houston, he plans to relocate to Little Rock in the near future to assume his new responsibilities.
