ARDOT to open office in Jonesboro

The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) is about to have a new office, and it’s located in Northeast Arkansas.
ARDOT officials, elected officials, and community stakeholders will offically open the new ARDOT Northeast Arkansas satellite office on April 3 in Jonesboro.
“By establishing a stronger regional presence in Northeast Arkansas, we can work more efficiently with local partners and better recruit and retain local talent,” said ARDOT Director Jared D. Wiley. “This office will help ARDOT advance its mission to deliver a modern transportation system to enhance quality of life in every region of the state.”
The new office is located on Main Street in downtown Jonesboro and will function primarily as a design office.
An open house at the new office will be held April 2 for Arkansas State University students. Students will have the opportunity to meet professional engineers and learn about career opportunities in transportation, engineering, planning, and public service.
