Joyce Yvette Brandon, born on March 18, 1959, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met. She passed away on Monday, December 8th, 2025, at the age of 66, after bravely battling Advanced Stage 4 colon cancer.

Yvette was the cherished daughter of Quinton and Joyce Brandon, and she faced many challenges in her life with grace and resilience. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, who instilled in her the values of hard work, compassion, and unwavering strength. She also loved spending time with her best friend, Theresa Chase (David), and a very close friend, Danny Wright. Her most cherished moments were spending time with her sister. They had so much fun going places together and spending very much quality time together. She also deeply loved and cared about her 2nd “Mom”, Patty Medlock.

Throughout her life, Yvette was dedicated to her family. She is survived by her two sons, Jeremy Medlock, who lived with her for three years, and Joshua Medlock (Amanda Chase) of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Yvette’s love extended beyond her immediate family; she was also a proud grandmother to Emma Nicole Medlock, who resides in Delaware, Arkansas. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them, from family gatherings to quiet evenings at home.

Yvette’s journey through education culminated in her earning an Associate of General Studies Degree from Colorado Tech University in 2014. She took great pride in her academic achievements, which reflected her determination to better herself and set an example for her children.

In addition to her immediate family, Yvette leaves behind her brothers, Darrell Brandon and James Brandon both of Mulberry, Arkansas, as well as her sister, Qujette Jones (Ben) of Mulberry. The bonds of family were incredibly important to Yvette, and she fostered these relationships with love, support, and understanding.

Yvette’s life was marked by her unwavering commitment to those she loved and her ability to inspire others with her positivity and laughter. Even in her final days, she remained a beacon of strength and love, reminding everyone around her of the importance of family and the power of hope.

As we remember Yvette, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and remarkable resilience. Although she has left this world, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will carry her memory with them always.

Rest in peace, Momma (from Jeremy & Joshua). You will be dearly missed but never forgotten. We will always love you very much!
