Aaron “Blake” Tinney, 36, of Van Buren, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025. Blake was a former oil field worker who spent several years with Northern Energy in North Dakota. He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping whenever he could. He also loved sports—especially basketball and football—and had a lifelong passion for music of all genres.
Blake was born on December 9, 1988, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Stephen Blake and Lisa Leigh (Cash) Tinney. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Addyson Rae Rowe of Hot Springs, Arkansas; his brother, Jesse Edward Tinney of Williston, North Dakota; his paternal grandmother, Yivaena Tinney; his maternal grandmother, Mitzy Ross, and her husband, John; his aunt, Kim Been, and her husband, Doug; cousins, Magen Lowder and her husband, Justin, and Molly Kate Been and her husband, Joe Jameson, Evan Been and his wife, Kendra; and seven second cousins. Blake was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Earl Lewis Tinney.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, also at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. Brother Bill Rushing will officiate the service.
