Donald Russell Wallace

Donald Russell Wallace, 71, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on June 2, 2025. He was born on June 18, 1953, in Bainbridge, Maryland, to Benjamin and Martha (Abshure) Wallace.

Don proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. He was a devoted husband to Paula (Flippen) Wallace. Together, they shared many special moments, especially enjoying time outdoors fishing. Don also had a passion for remote control cars and was a man of Christian faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Johnathon Wallace.

Don leaves behind many who loved him deeply, including his wife, Paula Wallace of the home; his children, Russell Wallace and Christina Wallace, both of Luckenbach, Texas; his brothers, Mike Wallace and wife Gina of Searcy, Arkansas, Danny Wallace of Barling, Arkansas, and Robby Wallace and wife Roberta of Beebe, Arkansas; and his sisters, Brenda Mason and husband James of Lumberton, North Carolina, and Margret Johnson and husband Doug of Cabot, Arkansas.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901. A graveside service will take place on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Smith National Cemetery, 522 Garrison Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901.
