Arkansas Treasurer of State John Thurston, R-Ark. announced his campaign for re-election in a press release Monday (May 12).
Thurston said he promised to continue his conservative stances and good stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
“Since taking office, I’ve focused on transparency, fiscal responsibility, and safeguarding Arkansans’ hard-earned tax dollars,” said Thurston. “I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, but there’s more work to be done. I’m running for re-election to ensure that Arkansas continues on a path of financial strength and conservative values.”
During his tenure, Thurston has prioritized efficient government, promoted financial literacy across the state, and upheld constitutional principles.
“As Treasurer, I’ve never forgotten who I work for — the people of Arkansas,” Thurston said. “They deserve a treasurer who puts principle before politics, and that’s exactly what I intend to continue doing.”
Thurston has served as Arkansas’ Secretary of State and Commissioner of State Lands.
