Ronnie Dean Fryday, Sr., 69, of Van Buren, gained his wings Friday, May 16, 2025 in Fort Smith. He was born September 19, 1955 in Houston. He served his country in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Chaffee, and was a retired orthopedic and orthotic technician for Snell Prosthetics & Orthotics. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, Dad, PaPa, and uncle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene Fryday and Lula Mae (Foster) Prine; three brothers, Tommy Fryday, Jackie Fryday, and Albert Fryday; and a nephew, Brandon Dinsmore.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Susie Fryday of the home; two daughters, Beth Hall and husband Randy of Van Buren, and Tracy Harris and husband Samson of Short, OK; a son, Ronnie Jr. and wife Amy of Alma; a sister, Betty Prince; a brother, Michael Fryday; grandchildren, Kandra Selman and husband DeWayne, Bethany Estes and husband Jamie, Mikaylea Belt and husband Carson, Emma Hall, Levi Hall, Chance, Dayton and Andrew Nicely, Hunter Fryday, and Kooper Fryday; great-grandchildren, Xavier, Kinzley, Piper, Paisley, Abby, Kasyn, Westin, Ennley, Oakley, and Hadleigh; nieces, Carla, Angela, and Debbie; and nephews, Charles, Steven, Benny Jo, Brandon, and Wayne.
Funeral service will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Fryday, Steven Prince, Eugene Hall, Randy Hall, Wayne Dinsmore, Jamie Estes, Levi Hall, and Samson Harris.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
