PAMT Corp. CEO Joe Vitiritto and Wendy Vitiritto sold their Fayetteville home the same week a federal filing was posted about his plans to resign from the Tontitown-based carrier.
Joe Vitiritto will resign from PAMT on June 27 for family reasons, according to a May 12 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He joined the company as president and CEO in August 2020.
Ryan Keith Tyler bought the Vitiritto home on West Starry Night View for $635,000 on May 15. The purchase price equals $266 per square foot. Built in 2021, the 2,389-square-foot home is on 0.29 acres in the Oakbrooke addition. Waco Title Co. in Springdale was the title agent.
The Vitirittos bought the home in March 2021 for $485,978. The seller was Fayetteville-based Paradigm Development Enterprises Inc., whose president is Tracy Hoskins. The property was transferred into a Glendale, Ariz.-based family trust in April 2022.
Before joining PAMT almost five years ago, Vitiritto was senior vice president of pricing and network design for Phoenix-based carrier Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings Inc. He joined Knight Transportation in April 2003. The company merged with Swift Transportation in 2017. The Iowa native started in the trucking industry in 1994 as a manager with Werner Enterprises Inc. He also worked in leadership roles for Colton Carriers in Denver and Schneider National Inc.
According to the May 12 federal filing, PAMT board chairman Matthew Moroun will be the interim president and CEO from June 27 until the position is filled. Moroun owns 73.45% of company shares. Vitiritto notified the company of his resignation on May 8, the date of the company’s annual shareholders meeting.
Shares of PAMT closed Tuesday (May 20) at $12.85, down 48 cents or 3.6%. In the past 52 weeks, the stock has ranged between $11.01 and $23.70.
