Earlene Hall Duncan, 78, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on May 20, 2025. She was born on August 13, 1946, to James Earl and Dona (Lowe) Hall, and was the older sister of Ellen Hall Lawson.

After graduating from high school, Earlene attended Ouachita Baptist University. She married Don Duncan in 1968 and later became a devoted mother, raising her sons Jonathan and Eric as a single parent. Her unconditional love and strength were constant sources of support for them throughout their lives.

Earlene was the cherished keeper of Hall family history. She loved reminiscing about her childhood in Mansfield, fondly recalling the countryside, Lake Spur, Rock Creek Baptist Church, and especially her beloved parents. Her storytelling kept those memories alive for everyone around her.

She had a deep love for music, playing the piano and singing in church brought her great joy. Her remarkable singing voice left a lasting impression on all who heard her.

Earlene is survived by her sons: Jonathan Bradley Duncan and wife Becki Duncan of Okanogan, Washington; Eric Duncan and wife Brenda Duncan of Van Buren, Arkansas; and Yotuel Garcia and his wife, Sarah Garcia. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Canton Duncan, Andrew Duncan, and O’Harah Duncan of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Bailley Kinser of Rogers, Arkansas; Kylie Sadler, Mason Sadler, Madly Buker, Remix Garcia, and Amari Garcia. She leaves behind her beloved cat, Boo.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Earlene’s wonderful neighbors, Scott and Jane Rutherford, for their many years of care and kindness.

Flowers may be sent to Eric’s home, 15 Bon Air St, Van Buren, AR 72956.
