If you’re hooked on a filling, the Arkansas Pie Festival might be your slice. The festival will be held for the fifth time on Saturday (April 26) in Cherokee Village.
Live music, a vendors’ market, food trucks, competitions and other events will be held.
The event will be centered in the Spring River Innovation Hub.
Pie tastings and baking competitions for all ages will be held. One competitor will receive a Golden Ticket to the World Food Championships and a shot at $100,000 in prize money.
The event typically draws a thousand or more festival goers along with the bakers who compete in various categories.
“Our community has really embraced the spirit of the festival,” said Jonathan Rhodes, festival co-founder. “It’s about more than dessert – it’s about bringing people together and showcasing the creativity and charm of Cherokee Village and small businesses around the state.”
A pet parade, 5k race, kids’ zone, and pie sample lineup will be held.
All proceeds from the event support STEAM education through the Spring River Innovation Hub.
