The Arkansas Department of Agriculture is accepting applications for the Arkansas Century Farm Program until June 30. This program honors Arkansas families who have owned and farmed the same land for at least 100 years, recognizing their contributions to the state’s agricultural heritage.
Established in 2012, the Arkansas Century Farm Program highlights the historical significance of Arkansas farm families and their lasting impact on the state’s agriculture industry. The program is voluntary, and there is no cost to apply. Since its inception, 645 farms have been inducted.
To qualify, the same family must have owned the farm for at least 100 years by Dec. 31, 2025. Ownership may pass through generations, including children, grandchildren, siblings, and nephews or nieces — by birth, marriage, or adoption.
The farm must include at least 10 acres of the original land acquisition and make a financial contribution to the overall farm income. Qualifying farms will receive a personalized Arkansas Century Farm certificate and metal sign listing the farm name and year established.
