Donnie Wayne Barron
Donnie Wayne Barron, 68, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on November 28, 2024. He was born on October 12, 1956, in Gorman, Texas. Donnie married the love of his life, Pamela Mitchell, on January 20, 1979. Together, they shared 45 wonderful years filled with love, adventure, and cherished family moments. Donnie dedicated his career to serving others through his work. He was a valued employee at the Fort Chaffee Training Facility, where he served as a supervisor of the plumbing shop. Additionally, he worked as a self-employed master plumber and at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Beyond his work, Donnie loved the outdoors and spent many happy hours hunting, fishing, and gardening. He took immense joy in cheering on his grandsons at their Black Diamond football games. Donnie loved to grill and was known for his famous baby back ribs. A man of deep faith, Donnie was a strong Christian who never met a stranger. His infectious laugh and reputation as a jokester brought joy to everyone who knew him.
Donnie is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela (Mitchell) Barron; his children, Tonya Barron Deel and husband Stephen of Gans, Oklahoma, Stacey Barron of North Port, Florida; two grandchildren, Gavin Deel and Michelle Robinson, and Garrett Deel; his mother Betty (Graham) Teague; brother, Rodney Wade Teague and wife Lisa of Roland, Oklahoma; four sisters, JoAnn Jones and Dennis Hunter of Mansfield, Arkansas, Tammy Teague Pam of Roland, Oklahoma, Cathy Jones and husband Alton of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Bonita Teague and Cleveland Pugh of Muldrow, Oklahoma; brother-in-law Dennis Mitchell and wife Kim of Alexander, Arkansas, sister-in-law Theresa Mitchell of Fort Smith, Arkansas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; Preceding Donnie in death was his father Tony Barron. Donnie will be remembered fondly by all who loved him and whose lives he touched.
A visitation will be on Wednesday December 4th, 2024, 11:00 to 1:00 p.m., at the River Glenn Chapel, 1805 North A Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Graveside Service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. View Cemetery, 9126 Bethel Road, Hackett, Arkansas. Friends and family are invited to gather in his honor and share memories of a life well lived.
