The Women’s Foundation of Arkansas (WFA) announced the opening of the submission period for the Gender Equity Scorecard, a tool designed to help Arkansas businesses improve gender equity in the workplace.

The updated Scorecard is available now at womensfoundationarkansas.org, and the submission deadline is Oct. 31, 2024.

“The Gender Equity Scorecard is a powerful tool for Arkansas companies committed to advancing gender equity in the workplace,” said Anna Beth Gorman, CEO of the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas. “This program not only highlights areas where businesses excel but also sheds light on opportunities for growth and improvement. By participating, companies can gain critical insights into their practices and take actionable steps toward creating more inclusive and equitable workplaces, which is essential for fostering innovation and long-term success.”

Originally created in partnership with practicum students from The Clinton School of Public Service during the 2017-2018 school year, the Gender Equity Scorecard has served as a resource for businesses striving to foster a more equitable workplace. The scorecard is designed to be completed by senior-level executives or HR Directors and provides an in-depth assessment of a company’s current standing on gender equity.

How Companies Can Participate:

  • Complete the Scorecard: The Scorecard should be filled out by a senior-level executive or HR Director on behalf of the company.
  • Submit Your Company’s Results: Ensure all sections are completed and hit “submit” at the bottom of the form.
  • Receive Your Company’s Score: The WFA will email your final score within 1-3 business days. Companies can also refer to the provided scoring guide for self-assessment.

WFA CEO Anna Beth Gorman and Southwest Power Pool’s Human Resources Director Tamika Edwards discussed the scorecard in a recent Talk Business & Politics interview. You can view the conversation in the video below.
