Roxana Buck has 21 years of mortgage banking experience, starting in the industry after graduating from Rogers High School.
She began in 2003 at Simmons Bank. After five months as a teller, Buck started to train other employees. She received multiple customer service awards while there. As a senior mortgage loan processor, she implemented mortgage closing and shipping procedures for secondary market loans.
She also worked at First Security Bank, contributing to the cultural diversity committee and enhancing internal procedures to better serve minority clients.
In August 2023, she joined Encore Bank as vice president of community outreach, overseeing three markets in Northwest Arkansas and Springfield, Mo., In five months, she transitioned to vice president of community outreach mortgage team lead, mentoring 11 community outreach officers across seven states. She considers her existing role her career highlight.
“My career history, my background is in mortgage,” Buck said. “Encore Bank provided me with an opportunity to continue to develop my mortgage skills as well as my business development skills and my involvement in the community with nonprofit organizations. It allowed me to sharpen additional skills that I had not done in previous roles.”
The next big goal in her career would be to take a leadership and management role. She’s previously helped to lead and delegate tasks but has yet to manage anyone.
Buck was born in Mexico and moved to Rogers at age 8. She’s fluent in Spanish and English. She’s completed the Springdale Leadership Program and is a 2019 Experience Springdale Program graduate.
She supports OneCommunity and Arkansas United and co-founded Soul Riders NWA. She partners with Conexion de Negocios Latinos, EparaTodos and the Hispanic Women’s Organization of Arkansas.
