Anchor Health Properties, a national full-service healthcare real estate development, management, and investment company focused exclusively on medical outpatient buildings and specialty healthcare facilities, recently celebrated the grand opening of the Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital in White Hall.

The new facility is a state-of-the-art 76 bed, 87,000 square foot freestanding specialty hospital featuring 40 beds dedicated to inpatient rehabilitation and 36 beds dedicated to inpatient behavioral health services. The cost of the private investment was not disclosed.

Located at 1500 West Holland Avenue in White Hall, the facility offers comprehensive physical medicine, rehabilitation, and behavioral health programs.

Jefferson Regional, located in nearby Pine Bluff, is a developer in the project with Lifepoint Health, a national diversified healthcare delivery network. Lifepoint Rehabilitation and Lifepoint Behavioral Health, which are business units of Lifepoint Health, will operate the facility in partnership with Jefferson Regional.

“We are extremely excited by the culmination of the past few years’ hard work with this phenomenal facility,” shared Katie Jacoby, Executive Vice President, Strategy & Development & Partner with Anchor. “As we celebrate the opening of this specialty hospital alongside Jefferson Regional and Lifepoint Health, the unified goal of providing high quality inpatient and outpatient care to the community is at the forefront of our minds. Anchor is proud to have made a significant investment through this transformative project providing residents of Jefferson County and beyond access to the resources and compassion they need to heal and recover.”

The hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation services for adults who have experienced a loss of function or disability due to stroke, brain injury, spinal code injury, neurological disorders, orthopaedic surgery and other conditions. Featuring all private rooms, the rehabilitation section of the hospital provides intense, interdisciplinary rehabilitation therapies and medical care to improve patients’ functional independence and help them return home.

The facility’s behavioral unit offers a continuum of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for adults and seniors, including crisis stabilization for acute mental health and substance use disorders; detoxification from alcohol and drugs; and treatment for anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and many other behavioral health illnesses.

“This facility represents a shared vision to provide unparalleled inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and behavioral health care to an historically underserved market. The Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital is a vital local and regional resource uniquely positioning Jefferson Regional and Lifepoint Health to meet the increasing needs of the growing community. We are proud to be a part of this joint venture’s mission to deliver an industry leading patient experience,” said Kollin Rommel, Senior Development Director with Anchor.

The facility opened its doors to patients on June 3, 2024.
