Samantha Hamilton, principal of LISA Academy Fayetteville, speaks at the recent celebration to mark the opening of Lisa Academy Elementary in Fayetteville. The charter school serves grades K-5 currently.

Little Rock-based charter school LISA Academy recently opened a 45,548-square-foot campus in Fayetteville. The campus is LISA Academy’s third in Northwest Arkansas.

The new Fayetteville campus at 1166 Van Asche Drive will start with about 250 students but is expected to expand to more than 500 amid rising demand for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) instruction. The school currently serves K-5 students but will grow to serve grades K-12.

“We are proud to introduce LISA Academy to the Fayetteville community,” said Dr. Fatih Bogrek, CEO and superintendent of LISA Academy Public Charter Schools. “LISA Fayetteville represents a commitment to providing quality education for students across Arkansas, and we’re confident that this new facility will serve as a foundation for STEM education in the area.”

Along with the new Fayetteville campus, LISA Academy also has campuses in Rogers and Springdale, both serving K-8 students. In Northwest Arkansas, LISA Academy enrollment has risen by 201.4% to 1,055 in 2023 from 350 in 2021. The Rogers campus, which opened in fall 2022, serves Rogers and Bentonville students. Hybrid students also attend there.

LISA Academy is a tuition-free, public, open-enrollment, STEM-focused, college preparatory charter school serving Arkansas K-12 students. Opening in 2004 in Little Rock, LISA Academy has 11 schools across nine Arkansas campuses.
