Missouri-based Club Car Wash has acquired the site of a former Springdale restaurant that recently closed after over 75 years.

According to Washington County property records, Club Car Wash paid $1.75 million for the property at the southeast corner of U.S. Highway 71 Business and Sanders Ave. The deal included five parcels totaling 3.16 acres.

The property’s largest parcel includes a 14,600-square-foot building that previously housed AQ Chicken House at 1207 N. Thompson St. The restaurant opened in 1947 and closed on March 18. Dick Bradley was the owner. Bradley Holdings LLC is listed as the seller in the Cub Car Wash deal.

MidCap Financial provided financing as part of the transaction. Club Car Wash wasn’t immediately available for comment.

A family-owned business, Club Car Wash entered the Arkansas market in August 2022 when it acquired Speedy Splash Car Wash. That deal included 10 locations in Northwest Arkansas and one in Oklahoma.

Club Car Wash was founded as Tiger Express Car Wash in 2006 and rebranded to Club Car Wash in 2019. It operates over 120 locations in Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Iowa, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Arkansas, Wisconsin and Texas.
