The Arkansas Black Mayors Association (ABMA) has announced The Design Group, a Little Rock-based multicultural, full-service communications company, as their communication agency of record.

The firm will be responsible for all of the ABMA’s communications, including strategic communications planning, media relations, advertising, and digital media.

“The Arkansas Black Mayors Association’s ultimate mission and driving purpose is to improve the quality of life of the residents that live, work, and play in our communities we serve,” said ABMA President and Lewisville Mayor Ethan Dunbar. “The Design Group’s unique positioning within the communications industry and unparalleled knowledge of Arkansas’ media landscape made them the right choice for this partnership.”

“The Design Group is honored to partner with the Arkansas Black Mayors Association as their Communications Agency of Record,” said founder Myron Jackson. “We are confident that as Arkansas’ leading multicultural communications company, we can provide the ABMA with the strategy and tools necessary to broaden awareness of the hard work this organization has put forth on behalf of their constituents in their respective communities.”

The Arkansas Black Mayors Association (ABMA), established in 1972, is a non-profit, charitable, and educational organization whose primary purpose is to promote and develop programs to improve educational, economic, health and social levels of citizens residing within the respective jurisdictions served by the members.

The group also serves as a mechanism for cooperation and the exchange of ideas among the members in areas of common concern and interest. There are 58 Arkansas Black Mayors serving more than 441,000 citizens in Arkansas.
