The Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce hired Teuana Smith as its Director of Diversity Initiatives and Programming.

Smith comes to the chamber from the Arkadelphia Regional Economic Development Alliance and Area Chamber of Commerce, where she served in several roles, focusing on event coordination, marketing and communications, and member engagement.

A native of Little Rock and graduate of J.A. Fair High School, Smith received a degree in mass communications from Henderson State University and is pursuing her master’s in mass communications and public relations from UA Little Rock.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Little Rock Regional Chamber as an advocate and problem-solving resource for minority businesses,” said Smith. “It will be a great honor to serve the community with my background and passion for creating a more inclusive and diverse business community and culture.”

The Chamber’s Minority Enterprise Development initiatives include a full suite of programs, including technical business assistance, entrepreneurial development, networking opportunities, and award ceremonies.

Smith will be responsible for the expansion of minority programming, as well as increasing awareness for businesses to maximize procurement opportunities. Smith will also support area businesses engaging in diversity, equity, and inclusion by creating programs and resources.

Smith will support the planning and coordination of additional Chamber events such as the Cultivate: Women’s Business Series, Small Business Impact Awards, Business After Hours, Serve the Rock, and other signature events.

“We are excited that Teuana has joined our team at the Chamber and look forward to the value she will provide to the business community in the City of Little Rock and across the region,” said Jack Thomas, Vice President of Economic Development at the Little Rock Regional Chamber. “Teuana brings an energy and enthusiasm that will take our organization to the next level in serving our membership and community.”
