A Dallas-based company that handles pet-waste cleanup and disposal recently opened its first Arkansas franchise.

Scoop Soldiers at 961 Skyline Loop in Centerton serves Northwest Arkansas. According to a news release, the company provides pet-waste cleanup for residential and commercial clients, including hotels, apartment complexes and other pet-friendly businesses.

Franchisee Jeff Easterling of Centerton said the new franchise is the company’s first in the state.

“We go out of our way to make our customers feel safe,” Easterling said. “We complete background checks on all our employees and arrive in a company truck and uniforms. We provide several various services at Scoop Soldiers, like spraying for parvo. Our team provides a service that affects dog owners and non-dog owners alike.”

Easterling has lived in Northwest Arkansas since 2014. His professional background comprises managing corporate restaurants, including Chili’s, Texas Roadhouse and Chick-fil-A. He also has experience working with retail and foodservice vendors.

“I’m excited to own a Scoop Soldiers and grow it,” he said. “I’m excited to bring a high level of professionalism to the market by bringing a service the community can trust.”

Along with pet-waste removal, the company offers deodorizer and sanitation services. According to the website, a one-time cleaning for up to four dogs starts at about $80. A once-per-week cleaning is about $19 per visit, while three cleanings a week runs about $15 each visit.

Nationwide, the company has 32 franchises and nine corporate operations in nine states. It looks to grow in Texas, Georgia, Oklahoma, Florida and Ohio, and has room for 10 more Arkansas locations, the release shows.

“We have seen amazing momentum and progress this year at Scoop Soldiers thanks to our growing team of franchisees,” said Scott Oaks, vice president of franchise development. “We look forward to keeping up the momentum we saw this quarter into the end of the year and being set up for success in 2023.”

Scoop Soldiers has three employees in Northwest Arkansas.
