Arkansas Department of Agriculture distributes $13.2 million in water project loans

The Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Commission on Thursday (Jan. 19) approved $13.244 million for three water and wastewater projects serving more than 226,000 Arkansans.

Lonoke White Public Water Authority in Cleburne County, received a $12.97 million loan from the Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund to construct a 1-million-gallon water storage tank.

The current customer base for this project is 101,000.

Imboden, in Lawrence County, received a $170,866 loan from the Water, Sewer, and Solid Waste Fund to improve the wastewater treatment plant.

The current customer base for this project is 340.

Central Arkansas Water in Pulaski County, received a $103,000 loan from the Water Development Fund for the CAW-Wrightsville project.

The current customer base for this project is 125,000.
