What was your dream job and why?

I’ve always wanted to be an attorney. I have a strong sense of justice and right and wrong which led me to a career in the law.

What has been the most fulfilling moment of your career so far?

When I see how much we’ve grown and the impact that we are making, that’s the most fulfilling part.

What’s the next big personal or career challenge you plan to take on?

For profit board opportunities and continuing to mentor young people and women in business.

Who have been mentors who’ve influenced your professional career?

I’ve been fortunate to have some great friends who were ahead of me from a career perspective that helped to mentor me, Regina McCullough and Judge Alicia Jones-Coleman (both still in Michigan where I’m from), my first general counsel, Marty Szymanski, and John Correnti.

How do you spend your time away from work? What are your hobbies?

Reading, knitting and spending time with my family.

What advice would you give young women who are at the beginning of their careers?

Network early and often, have a personal plan for your career development, and don’t be afraid to take risks.

Can you share how COVID impacted your business or organization?

Just like most businesses, we figured out how to do things outside of the office and how to better leverage technology to keep in touch with our team.

What’s the last good book you read?

“The Lincoln Highway,” by Amor Towles

What’s your favorite app at the moment?

WW.
