Career Staffing Services was the winner of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Arkansas Women-owned Business of the Year. The award is part of the SBA National Small Business Week (NSBW) Awards which recognizes businesses for their hard work and commitment to their local community.

The 2022 Arkansas Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year award honors an outstanding woman-owned and controlled business that has been operating for a minimum of three years.

“The team at Career Staffing Services has worked hard since the pandemic keeping its clients staffed and helping Arkansans get back to work,” said Beverly Smith, Owner of Career Staffing Services. “We got creative, thinking outside the box, looking for ways to do things differently… We are honored to be recognized by the SBA Arkansas as the Women-Owned Business of the Year.”

Smith said the award is a “reaffirmation” that Career Staffing Services is recognized to be a leader in the industry by helping more businesses save time and money by recruiting, screening and filling their job openings.

“Women-owned businesses are a growing sector of the small business and entrepreneur population across Arkansas and nationwide,” says Edward Haddock, SBA Arkansas District Director. “This award celebrates those woman-led organizations that are part of the changing fabric of our economy. It’s vital that we recognize woman-owned small businesses and their CEOs, like Beverly Smith, for their impact on the American economy.”

Career Staffing Services, located in North Little Rock, was founded by Smith in 2000.
