Students who attend Don Tyson School of Innovation in Springdale will soon have the opportunity to take courses through NorthWest Arkansas Community College as part of their high school curriculum.

The classes are also recognized by the University of Arkansas.

The program allows high school students to earn dual credit for high school and also college credits.

It can also result in a direct pathway to sophomore year equivalency at a university upon high school graduation.

The schools are hosting an event Wednesday (April 13) at 2 p.m. at Don Tyson School of Innovation located at 2667 Hylton Road in Springdale.

The public is invited to attend and meet school faculty at the participating schools and colleges.
