Stephanie Sutton appointed to Black River Technical College board of trustees

Gov. Asa Hutchinson appointed Stephanie Sutton of Pocahontas to a seven-year term on the Board of Trustees of Black River Technical College.

Sutton is the accounting manager at Peco Foods, Inc., the eighth largest poultry producer in the United States. Prior to Peco Foods, she was employed by MacLean Fogg and Nielson Bainbridge.

Sutton is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Arkansas State University. She has served on the Black River Technical College Foundation Board for 25 years.

Sutton is a commissioner for the city of Pocahontas Water Works and is a former board member for the Randolph County Chamber of Commerce.

Founded in 1971 as a vocational college, BRTC operates a main campus in Pocahontas and has a satellite campus in Paragould. It offers a host of two-year degree programs along with vocation certifications.
