Class of 2021 Forty Under 40 Stefanie Ceola Chief Strategy Officer Boston Mountain Money Management, Rogers

Stefanie Ceola has led and managed a near-tripling in Boston Mountain Money Management’s business since she joined the firm four years ago by helping to bring in new clients and providing financial planning solutions.

Ceola oversees finance, compliance and service and has instituted a full suite of benefits for staff. She has also researched, selected and implemented essential operating software and systems to manage growth and position the firm for future growth, said her boss, Scott Alaniz.

“She has also hired people that are a perfect cultural fit,” he said.

A Texas native, Ceola moved to Northwest Arkansas in 2013 with her husband, a native of the area and a carpenter. Together they launched Ozark Custom Door Co., and they now sell custom doors throughout the country. Outside of work hours, Ceola often helps stain, wrap and ship doors.

Ceola earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications, emphasizing public relations, from Sam Houston State University. When she moved to Northwest Arkansas, she went to work for J.B. Hunt Transport Services in human relations.

“I had no HR experience, and J.B. Hunt taught me so much,” she said.

Ceola then wanted to pursue work related to finance. She had identified this as a strength through her home business, but without any industry background, she looked for a beginner position. Alaniz has supported her growth, and he lets go of the reins when he notices that she is ready to take on more, she said.

“My gifting is more process-driven,” she said. “Scott is good at recognizing the value in his people then elevating us. I took over all the finances for the business so that he can focus on clients.”

Ceola is an accomplished equestrian and dedicates time and resources to nonprofits like Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter.
