The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, formerly known as the Arkansas Arts Center, has selected Bob Tarren as its new Chief Marketing Officer.

In a letter to supporters on Monday (June 7), AMFA executive director Victoria Ramirez announced Tarren’s new position.

“After a national search, I am thrilled to introduce the Arkansas Museum of Fine Art’s new Chief Marketing Officer, Bob Tarren.

“Bob brings substantial experience piloting successful museum marketing programs as the Head of Marketing & Community Engagement at both the Frick Pittsburgh and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and as the Director of Marketing and Public Affairs at the Science Museum in Richmond, VA.

“Bob’s experience is not all out of state. He was also the Chief Marketing Officer for the MAD|Murphy Arts District in El Dorado, AR.

“Additionally, Bob was presented with the Arkansas Governor’s Tourism Award and the Arkansas Festivals & Events Association Gold Award.

“Bob will lead our talented marketing team, focusing on AMFA’s grand opening to the public in May 2022,” Ramirez wrote.

The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts is undergoing a massive multi-million renovation in Little Rock’s MacArthur Park as part of a $142 million capital campaign. The museum announced in January that it would rebrand from the Arkansas Arts Center to the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts.
