Owners with small businesses located in Crittenden or Mississippi Counties are welcome to apply to the Smart Growth Accelerator, a series of free, interactive online training events hosted by the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) at Arkansas State University.

The event is divided into four sessions. The dates are:

  • Aug. 18, Sept. 1, 15 and 29 for Mississippi County from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Sept. 17 and Oct. 1, 15 and 29 for Crittenden County from 11 a.m. — 1 p.m.

The events will be hosted through Zoom.

The online series provides information on how to grow businesses during the pandemic and beyond. If a business has been open for a minimum of one year and a maximum of five years, if it has one or more additional employees aside from the owner, and it is located in one of these counties, owners are encouraged to apply. The opportunity to receive one-on-one counseling is also available.

Participation is limited to 10 businesses in each county and pre-registration is required.
