HMS Mfg. Co. announced plans Wednesday (Oct. 30) to open a new 550,000 sq. ft. injection molding facility in the Port of Little Rock. HMS Mfg. Co. expects to create around 90 new jobs within the next two years.

“The partnerships we formed at the local and state levels show how excited this community is to work with HMS Mfg. Co.,” said Janet Sofy, President of HMS Mfg. Co. “Based on increased business, strong customer relationships and our three-year strategic plan, we decided to move forward with this major expansion.”

The $20 million expansion is part of HMS Mfg. Co.’s goal to incorporate emerging technologies as part of its growth strategy. The new facility will have state-of-the-art injection molding processes.

HMS Mfg. Co. was stablished in 1987. It is a global manufacturer of unique, solution-driven houseware products. They currently have products in the storage and organization, waste, laundry, and kitchen categories. Their brands include Hefty®, Home Logic®, Stola™, and several private labels.

“I am pleased to welcome HMS Mfg. Co. to the Port of Little Rock, along with the major brands they produce and distribute worldwide,” said Gov. Asa Hutchinson. “HMS Mfg. Co. will bring value to the area and continue to diversify our economy. This is a company I called on the first day of my second term to invite them to Arkansas, and I am glad they are coming.”
