A $500,000 deal in Cave Springs is paving the way for a Casey’s General Store development.

The Ankeny, Iowa-based company bought a 1.9-acre commercial lot at the corner of highways 264 and 112.

The Castor Family Revocable Living Trust was the seller.

The property contains a vacant 6,416-square-foot structure, known as TNT Cable Contractors. A Casey’s spokesman said the structure will be removed and a new store built on the site. A starting date for construction has not been determined.

“Normally, weather permitting, it takes somewhere around four or five months from the time we start the building process,” said Mike Richardson, Casey’s vice president of marketing.

The 3,400-square-foot store is planned to have six fuel dispensers.

Casey’s opened its first store in Arkansas in Bella Vista on April 28, 2011. The company now has 13 locations in Benton County and seven in Washington County.
