FirstLight Home Care will soon open its first Northwest Arkansas office in Bentonville.

The non-medical home care provider said the new franchise location, in the Executive Center at 1116 S. Walton Blvd., will be owned and operated by Raelene and Keith Plummer, who are relocating from Fort Smith to Bentonville to run the business.

The office is expected to open June 25.

The company, which has 250 locations in 34 states, said the new office will serve seniors, adults with disabilities, new mothers, those recovering from surgery and other adults in need of assistance.

“This is the fastest-growing area of Arkansas, and a lot of people in Bentonville and the surrounding area will benefit from the services FirstLight provides,” the company said in a statement.

“I’d been working in home care for five years, and one day it hit me: Why not open your own home care business?” Raelene Plummer said in a statement. “We loved FirstLight’s business model, and we also saw the need for a new Arkansas office to fit the growing demand in the Bentonville area. It was a natural fit, and a business model my husband and I are extremely passionate about.”
