The Happy Egg Co. has relocated its U.S. corporate headquarters from San Francisco to Rogers. Happy Egg Co. is a multi-national, free-range egg brand owned by Noble Foods, the largest egg company in the United Kingdom. The brand launched in the U.S. in October 2012, and now can be found in about 5,200 stores nationwide, about 1,000 of which are Walmart Inc. stores. As of this month, the eggs are available in Northwest Arkansas Walmart stores.

Dan Arnsperger was named president this past August and oversees the Rogers office.

“Northwest Arkansas is an ideal location for our company to plant itself and grow,” Arnsperger said in a statement. “The area allows us to be close to our farm families in Arkansas and Missouri and to leverage the retail talent in the region. Our ‘raised with love’ standards set us apart in the industry, and I’m proud to bring that commitment here while supporting the growing economy in Northwest Arkansas.”

The company supports 60 jobs in Northwest Arkansas —12 at the Rogers corporate office at 3201 S. Market St., and the rest with Happy Egg Co.’s farm family partners. The company contracts with 31 small family farms mostly in Missouri — but a few are in Arkansas — that, combined, have a little more than 600,000 hens that produce an average of 3.6 million eggs per week.

Happy Egg Co. produces humane free range eggs.

“Consumer expectations around animal welfare are higher than ever,” Arnsperger said. “And we deliver on those expectations by going above and beyond industry requirements.”

All hens are given year-round access to roam on an eight-acre pasture with a requirement of 21.8 square feet per bird, according to the company.
