Coulson Oil gets retailer recognition

Shell Oil Corporation has named Arkansas-based Coulson Oil’s Road Runner Stores as “Top Retailer of the Year.” The award recognizes the top performing 5% of Shell Oil retailers across the nation.
“Since day one, Road Runner has been focused on providing consumers with the highest-quality products and best customer service possible,” said John Harris, president and CEO of Coulson Oil. “We are honored to receive this Shell Oil recognition and look forward to building on our success.”
Shell Oil presented Road Runner with the “Top Retailer of the Year” award during its national event in Las Vegas from Feb. 28-March 2.
Omesha Whitehead, Road Runner’s store manager in Conway, will represent the United States at an international Shell Oil recognition event in Dubai, where Road Runner will have the chance to win “Global Retailer of the Year.”
Since it got its start nearly 50 years ago, North Little Rock-based Coulson Oil has grown into a multi-branded distributor of gasoline and diesel fuel. Today it offers two of the top-branded fuels — Shell and Valero — to more than 200 convenience stores and fuel outlets in Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas and Oklahoma.
In 2012, Coulson Oil Company purchased two Road Runner convenience stores in Texarkana. Today, Coulson Oil also has Road Runner stores in Conway, Fayetteville, Fort Smith, Heber Springs, Hot Springs and Little Rock.
