Arkansas Children’s Northwest received $53,684 from the recent Miracles and Magic Radiothon hosted by Northwest Arkansas Circle of Friends Chapter. The event was held over two days of broadcasting live from iHeart Media stations in Fayetteville.

The programming included shared stories of how Arkansas Children’s has delivered care to this region.

“We are grateful Northwest Arkansas community was moved by these stories,” says Elizabeth Sullivan, with Arkansas Children’s Foundation. “It takes community support to create change and the Northwest Arkansas community gave from the heart to support Arkansas Children’s Northwest in a big way today. Thank you Northwest Arkansas for your support of ACNW and putting children in the community first.”

More than 20 corporate sponsors took part in supporting this year’s event. Since 1983 the local Circle of Friends chapter has raised more than $13 million for the children served by Arkansas Children’s. All of the funds raised this year stay in Northwest Arkansas and will benefit Arkansas Children’s Northwest, scheduled to open in January.
