A site plan for a Chick-fil-A restaurant on Pauline Whitaker Parkway in Rogers has been submitted for technical review.

The civil engineering plan was filed with the city by Greyden Engineering LLC of Roswell, Ga. Comments or revisions by the committee are due back to the developer by June 8, and the plan could be approved as early as mid-July.

The restaurant will be built at 4893 W. Pauline Whitaker Parkway, a 1.21-acre site situated between Chuy’s and Pei Wei. Plans call for a 4,995-square-foot building, two drive-through lanes and seating for 118 patrons inside and 24 outside.

Chick-fil-A will sign a ground-lease agreement for the property, brokered by commercial real estate firm Sage Partners in Rogers. Tom Allen, a principal and executive vice president with Sage, said the term will be for 15 years.

The land is owned by PH Land Lease II LLC, an entity controlled by Hunt Ventures of Rogers.

Chick-fil-A has seven locations in Northwest Arkansas, including Rogers restaurants on West Pleasant Grove Road and West Walnut Street.

Whitaker Parkway and the southern end of Pinnacle Hills Parkway is becoming a popular destination for restaurant developers.

Arkansas-based Tacos 4 Life is planning to build a restaurant at 4195 S. Pinnacle Hills Parkway, just north of the Whitaker Parkway roundabout. Like Chick-fil-A, the restaurant is expected to open early next year.

Mirabella’s Table, a new project of Bentonville restaurateur Carl Garrett (Tavola Trattoria, Table Mesa Bistro), opened for business May 22 in The District at Pinnacle Hills, a multi-use development being built at the southwest corner of the intersection of southbound Interstate 49 and Whitaker Parkway.

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop also opened recently in the commercial development. Other restaurants in the vicinity are Chuy’s, Pinnacle Bar and Grill, Newk’s, Growler USA and Pei Wei.
